Animas, New Mexico

August 7, 2014I had the chance to visit the Outerbanks of North Carolina in April when it’s still cool out and tourist haven’t arrived en masse. Beaches are some of my favorite places, I love how small gazing at the vastness of the ocean makes one feel. Not to mention, it’s loads of fun playing in the waves, snorkeling, boogie boarding, or just burying a friend in the sand!
The Outerbanks is a very small strip of land just off the coast of North Carolina. No overly commercialized, but still a beautiful stretch of white sandy beaches. We stayed at the lovely Cape Hatteras B&B and enjoy great seafood and friendly service. Venturing out to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was rewarding, I was able to shoot some sunset pictures of the classic feature. Originally the lighthouse was located closed to the shoreline, but due to erosion, it has been moved further back so it can be preserved, though it still shines brightly every night.
